Special Events Committees

Want to be part of planning the fun parties at the Chamber? Join one of the special events committees! Committees include Chairman’s Awards Gala, Tastefest, Style Show and Lobsterfest. Chairman’s Awards Gala

Annual gala honoring the outgoing chairman of the board. The evening includes dinner, dancing and a casino. The Chairman’s Awards Gala honors the outgoing chairman as well as the small and large business of the year and more. Committee members help with decorations, soliciting auction items, selling tickets, volunteers and more. Next event date is January 23, 2020.

Job Fair

The annual Job Fair features jobs in a variety of fields as well as educational opportunities and community resources. The event is free to job seekers. Booths are available to companies and organizations looking for employees. The Chamber partners with the Conroe Economic Development Council, Lone Star College – Conroe Center, Lone Star Convention Center and Workforce Solutions. Next event date is January 28, 2020.

Go Texan Parade

The Chamber is a co-sponsor with the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo and the Houston Metro Go Texan Committee Conroe/Willis/The Woodlands Subcommittee of this annual event that provides scholarships for area youths. Held the Saturday before the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Parade in early February. All proceeds of the parade go toward the scholarships awarded to the students participating each year. Montgomery County Day at the Capitol

The Montgomery County Council of Chambers (Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber, The Woodlands Area Chamber, Montgomery Area Chamber, Greater Magnolia Parkway Chamber, Greater East Montgomery County and the Montgomery County  Hispanic Chamber) travel to Austin for Montgomery County Day at the Capitol to advocate for the business community. Attendees will have the opportunity to visit with elected officials and hear from several speakers on what we expect to see during the 86th Legislative Session. Next event will be held in 2020.

Montgomery County Fair Buyer’s Group

The Chamber organizes a Buyer’s Group each year for the Montgomery County Fair auction this year. Participation in the group is limited to members of the Chamber. Many members may not be able to donated to the auctions because of the high cost of the items auctioned. This is a way for all of our members to participate. Only money donated specifically to the Buyer’s Group will be spent at the Junior Non-Livestock and Livestock Auctions at the  Montgomery County Fair.

Lake Conroe Region Outlook

As we continue to see growth and development across the Lake Conroe region, we strive to stay ahead of the story to communicate the patterns and trends we see happening to the key stakeholders looking to our community for their next move. At this event, the audience hears updates and outlook for the Lake Conroe region with keynote speaker, panel discussion and presentations. The next event is April 30, 2020.



It’s the Chamber’s largest and most delicious event of the year! Enjoy food and beverages from more than 30 vendors all under one roof! Tastefest takes place in early June each year at the Lone Star Convention Center. Come be part of one of the largest events the Chamber puts on. Committee members help with soliciting food vendors, selling tickets, volunteers and more. Next event date is June 4, 2020.

ATHENA Leadership Award Luncheon

The ATHENA Leadership Award was inspired by the goddess of Greek mythology known for her strength, courage, wisdom and enlightenment – qualities embodied in the ATHENA Leadership Model. The ATHENA Leadership Award is presented to woman who is honored for professional excellence, community service and for actively assisting women in their attainment of professional excellence and leadership skills. The event includes a luncheon, speaker and the award. Committee members help with soliciting sponsors and selling tickets and well as help with the nominations of the award winner. Next event date is July 30, 2020.


Golf, Grub and Good Times! That is what Lobsterfest is all about. On Thursday evening savor fresh Maine Lobster flow in that day, perfectly cooked steak and fixings at the Lone Star Convention Center. Mingle with friends, co-workers, family and the community while checking out the silent and live auctions. The next day, tee off for a fun day of golf at one of our outstanding member golf clubs. Exposure to one of the largest community events. Held on the first Thursday and Friday of October. Committee members help with soliciting auction items, selling tickets, golf, decorations, volunteers and more. Next event date is October 1-2, 2020.

Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon

One of the greatest gifts you can give is your time. The Chamber is hosting our inaugural Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon to thank and recognize each person who has made an impact on the Chamber throughout the year by volunteering on a committee, being a diplomat, serving on the board, volunteering at a special event and more. A program and video presentation is part of the event. Next event date is November 12, 2020.

Hail & Farewell Reception

Celebrate the new year with your elected officials. The event brings business, government and civic leaders to connect and celebrate the new year. Mix and mingle with elected officials and fellow leaders as we celebrate the progress made over the past year. This is a come and go event with light appetizers and drinks. A short program is included at the event. Next event is December 1, 2020.

The Pulse Series

The Pulse’s mission is to lead the community in local, state and federal issues impacting the Conroe/Lake Conroe business community. Part of that mission includes hosting events to our members and the community with their elected officials and issues of importance. This year’s events include Coffee with the Congressman, State of the City/City Candidate Forum, State of Education, State of the County and State of the State as well as candidate forums.
